Snow in November!

This post is for all family and friends in the Southern Hemisphere who are now entering summer. While you are all warming up and enjoying temperatures at least in the early 20s, here in Vancouver we’ve already had a good solid snowfall. The first snowfall is always such a pretty sight to wake up to – especially if you don’t have to be anywhere in a hurry. Yesterday I didn’t have anything urgent on so I took the opportunity to get outside and went to Granville Island. The ponds all along the seawall were frozen over and everything looked quite pretty. Here’s a shot taken just as the sun was going down….looking very much like a Christmas card.

Granville Island in the snowAnd here’s me, all bundled up. I’m wearing my “save-it-till-it’s-REALLY-cold” jacket which is a bit scary since it is only November.

Granville Island in the snowToday it’s a little warmer and raining so goodbye snow. Not to worry, I’m sure our winter wonderland will come again soon.

Mum, - Looks like a lovely picture postcard. I prefer our lovely hot day with all the pohutukawa’s out in full bloom.
