July 2, 2011 turned out to be one of the first real summer days this year. Hot, hot, and more hot. This bode well for Vaneesa and Chris’ outdoor ceremony on the balcony at Bridges Restaurant on Granville Island.
Chris got ready at the Granville Island Hotel which was great as it was just a short walk from there to the Restaurant.
Meanwhile, across the water Vaneesa was getting ready at Baxter’s on Beach on the Seawall.
Getting a little help from the gals…
The ladies took the aquabus across to Granville Island. Susannah was waiting on the other side to get these shots of our bride.
The ceremony begins. 2 year old Coen gets a little stage fright….

Afterwards we went for a walk around Granville Island for some photographs of our newly married couple. There are so many great spots to choose from.
Back at Bridges we stayed for the cocktail hour while Chris and Vaneesa mingled with their guests…
Lastly a nice ring shot. The background is the vessel used for their sand ceremony Vaneesa, Chris and their parents all pouring in some sand – a nice touch and a great keepsake.
