Laura and Khojasteh had a great wedding with a lovely celebration of both Italian and Indian cultures. They were married at Our Lady of Sorrows parish with their reception at the gorgeous Newlands Golf and Country Club.
Laura’s parent’s house is not far from the church so I began the day there, in time to get a few shots of her dress and accessories and make-up.

There was a mix up with transportation but luckily there were many relatives who had not left for the church so the bridal party were all able to get there on time.

There was some cool light coming through the stained glass adding a beautiful wash of colour to the ceremony.
After the ceremony we went to Commercial Drive to Stella’s (now called BierCraft) where Laura and Kody had dated. It was a super hot day so everyone was happy chilling out.
We left the bridal party enjoying their drinks and wandered down the Drive getting some cool shots along the way….

Next stop was SFU – it’s always cooler up there so a great spot of a hot summer’s day. Fab views too!
Off to the amazing reception venue – a glass walled conservatory style room.
Laura is one of 5 children and the last to get married. Her Dad had not given speeches at any of her siblings’ weddings but unexpectedly he rose to the occasion with a poignant and entertaining chronicle of all 5 couples!

An Indian dancer performed. It was incredible how fast she moved!
