Nadia and Gord live in Yellowknife so we met this lovely couple for the first time on their wedding day. Family and friends had come from all over Canada, from up North and from the East Coast so it was a cool mix of different people, all clearly very close to them.
We started the day with the girls and guys getting ready at the Century Plaza Hotel Downtown. Nadia and Gord had decided to do a “first look” before the ceremony which is always a super sweet, magical moment.
We did our bridal party and couple shots Downtown and then at the beach just down from Aberthau, where the ceremony was being held. Then it was off to get married in Aberthau’s beautiful garden setting, with the lovely Karen Ell as Officiant. Nadia’s parents were unable to travel from the East Coast so they were streamed in live to the ceremony via ipad – how cool is that!
Nadia had enlisted the help of Reflection Events to plan and co-ordinate her wedding and reception. the result was a beautiful mix of vibrant colour and a Spring Garden feel. Their reception had a relaxed feel, filled with laughter with some hilarious speeches and a great time had by all.
