krista + brian – engagement

Krista and Brian are currently living in different provinces as Brian is away for work. We took advantage of his trip home to BC to do an engagement session. These two are lovely, easy going and totally down to earth people – Krista is right up there in our “laid back bride” category which is awesome. We did the engagement shoot in Coal Harbour – it was a beautiful Vancouver Spring day and pretty busy on the Seawall.

Here are a few shots of our lovely couple….

It was great to see you both and we can’t wait for your wedding!

birds!

Last weekend we visited the George C. Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta. This was my third visit and once again it was wonderful! It’s a great place to go on an affordable outdoor expedition – dress warmly as it gets quite windy.

You can buy a bag of birdseed for a couple of bucks at the entrance and there are always hundreds (or thousands?) of ducks that will happily feed from your hands. It’s a totally weird feeling – like little jack hammers hitting your palm. Their beaks are not sharp, but just remember to stretch your palm flat so they don’t accidentally pinch you.

As it’s Spring we were hoping for ducklings but we were a few weeks too early. Instead we just wandered around, enjoyed the fresh air and looked at the camouflage and patterns of the birds.

Here’s a few images from the day….

Val Scherp - Great photos Leanne.

Evan is 2 – Vancouver kids photography

Evan is 2!

I shot Kim’s maternity photos, Evan’s newborn photos and also did another shoot not long after his first birthday. It’s awesome to be able to watch the little ones grow up and to be able to record these moments for him and his family.

At 2 Evan is at that great age of independence and was pretty happy exploring the playground and the park. Very fun.
