Jessica and Peter – engagement
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009Jessica and Peter are getting married next July at the UBC Boathouse and for a different kind of look they thought they would do their engagement shoot in the City. We started at Coal Harbour and then headed into Stanley Park for some lush Fall green. Here are a few shots of this lovely couple….
Looking forward to your wedding next July!
Kate & Josh – June 13, 2009
Saturday, June 20th, 2009It’s been a busy month for Kate and Josh. Kate graduated from med school, they moved back from Alberta, and they got married!
I got to Kate’s house in time to take pictures of her dress and shoes before she dressed…
Here are a few of detail shots of Kate getting ready. Doing up the dress….
Kate and Josh were married at the Eagle Ridge United Church. Simply decorated with beautiful sunflowers by Larissa Meade from Bridal Beginnings, it looked great….
After the ceremony, we went down to the river to take some family and bridal party shots. Here are the guys. Little Colton is so cool!
There was some really nice light coming through the trees….
Here’s Kate, looking stunning….
And an intimate shot of the two of them….
I really loved shooting at the river because it is a place Kate and Josh go to often. I think it’s important to have wedding photos in an environment which has personal meaning. Those photos will bring stronger memories as time goes on.
Kate told me about the yellow flowers here and I thought they were wonderful!

Next we headed out to Whonnock Lake Center for their reception. We got a few quick shots with the classic limos before they left….

And then had fun on the dock. Here’s a shot of the girls….

As they support different hockey teams, they entered their reception to “Hockey Night in Canada” and then had a face off. Luckily they both won as there were two pucks….
Lots of fun and laughter later, here is a shot from their first dance….
Congratulations Kate and Josh – it was our pleasure working with you and we wish you all the best in your future together!
Tasha & Marvin’s epix – part 2
Tuesday, April 21st, 2009Tasha and Marvin couldn’t decide between Fall or Spring for their engagement session so we did both! You can see their Fall photos from last October here.
We were really lucky with this week of great warm Spring weather and the cherries were in full blossom in Queen Elizabeth Park. It was pretty busy, but easy to work around.
Here are some of my favs from the session….

Looking forward to working with you both again soon!
Melanie & Matti’s epix
Wednesday, January 21st, 2009Melanie & Matti had been trying to have engagement photos done for a few months now but the weather was not co-operating for our chosen location – Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. First rain, then snow, and now fog. Fog is cool though and I have to say I was pretty excited by the dreamy mist.
We basically just wandered through the Park, taking some photos and enjoying the fresh air. The location was choice – I love the outdoors!

Melanie and Matti were great and did a little rock hiking to get some cool shots above the water.

You two make a great couple and I’m totally looking forward to your wedding in May!
Tasha & Marvin’s epix
Thursday, October 16th, 2008Tasha & Marvin wanted to get some Fall colours in their engagement photos so we headed to Jericho Park. Some areas of the park were still very green but there were some beautiful spots to the West with rich reds and oranges.
These two are so lovely and I am looking forward to working with them next year.
Leanne & Mark’s epix
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008For Leanne (yay same spelling as me!) and Mark’s e-shoot we went to Vanier Park to try to get some Fall leaves. The leaves were mostly at an in-between stage colour-wise, but their was still a very Fall-like feel to the air and the light.
Leanne and Mark got to play with the leaves…..

Walk in the trees….

Hang out on the steps…

And just enjoy being together. I loved how they were together – in love, full of laughter, very natural….great couple!

Thanks Leanne and Mark – I’m totally looking forward to working with you both at your wedding.
Heather & Kevin’s epix
Saturday, September 6th, 2008Had fun on Wednesday with Heather and Kevin for their engagement shoot. We had postponed from last week and it was a good move – Wednesday was a beautiful day!
Heather and Kevin had booked me from Toronto so although I had emailed and spoken to Heather on the phone, this was our first chance to meet face to face.
These guys are great and I know we are going to have a great time at their wedding!
Here are a few shots from the session……

The ring!
Linh & Nathan’s E-shoot
Monday, June 30th, 2008Today I met up with Linh and Nathan to do some engagement pictures before their wedding in a couple of weeks time. We drove down to Stanley Park which was more packed than I’d ever seen it before! I think half of Vancouver was there!!
We managed to find a couple of spots for photos….

And then we headed off to the much less crowded Crab Park to cool off in the water….
Stefanie & Mark’s Engagement Shoot
Monday, April 14th, 2008Stefanie and Mark came over from the Island and we spent a couple of hours wandering around taking some engagement photos. I had met Stefanie, a fellow photographer, online on a photography forum but this was the first time to meet in person. Both Stef and Mark were great fun and I they were such a great couple!
Click here to check out Stef’s website.
Recently I found some VERY cool walls near my studio so we started out there.
Then we went down to Crab Park at the bottom of Main St for a few beach/mountain shots with the dogs…..

A bit more fun stuff…..
Mark and Stef are BIG hockey fans so we had to do a couple of shots at GM Place…..

Thanks guys for being so much fun to work with! I’m totally looking forward to December!
Leslie & Gabe
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007Leslie, Gabe and I went to Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver for their engagement shoot. It was late in the afternoon, and we got some nice skies. We wandered about, getting to some nice high places.

Then it was time to have some fun in the leaves.

Congratulations Leslie and Gabe – I’m really looking forward to your wedding next year!
