This is Jessica and Peter’s wedding at the UBC Boathouse in Richmond. Their day was a hot one!
We started out at the River Rock Resort with the guys and gals getting ready.
Jessica had the most amazing eyelashes….
And she looked stunning!
Here’s the girls seeing her all dressed up and ready to go
Susannah took the guys down to the pier to get ready for the “first look”.
We could see them waiting from Jessica’s room which was cool.
We had Jess sneak up on Peter at the pier…..
We then left the River Rock and headed off to Steveston to begin the shoot….
It was so hot and bright – we were happy to find a small patch of shade.
Next we went to Finn Slough (I have to admit that I didn’t even know about this little gem of a place). The bridge was a bit rickety and not too stable, but everyone was game to do shots there – well done everyone!
We ended our shoot with refreshments at the Bubble Tea Place where Peter and Jessica had their first date
Then it was off to the UBC Boathouse to get married!
The UBC Boathouse is an absolutely beautiful setting.
Here’s the guys with celebratory cigars after the ceremony…
Their reception was filled with fun and laughter.
They had a photo booth for guests to play with. Susannah and I had some fun with the props and had our table laughing.
This lovely couple from Hong Kong were found to have been married the longest – a stellar 45 years! Here they are offering advice to the newlyweds.
There was some good kissing going on too.
A beautiful day turned into a beautiful sunset and so we nipped out to take a few pictures on the dock…
Then Jessica and Peter changed into their party gear and in honour of Peter’s heritage demonstrated a Dutch drinking song (born from Olympic celebrations at Heineken House).
Everyone joined in and the dancing was underway.
Congratulations to Jessica and Peter and all the best for a long and happy future together!
Thanks also to Kerry from Fairy Godmother Weddings for being such a pleasure to work with.

Here is Anna’s Dad walking her down the aisle. I love the look on David’s Mom’s face as she sees her soon to be daughter-in-law….

After the ceremony the newlyweds released doves….
