Trent & Brent – June 15, 2009

Monday, June 22nd, 2009
I was very privileged to be asked to photograph Trent and Brent’s wedding which was a small, intimate gathering of close friends and relatives.  Trent’s family traveled from the States to be with him and support him on his wedding day.
We met the guys in their apartment just before the ceremony and we got a few quick touching up shots.
Then it was a short walk through the West End to the Coast Plaza Hotel with some casual photo ops along the way….
I love this one Susannah took as they were walking….

The ceremony site was outside on the Hotel Garden patio and was lovely.  Luckily the sun stayed out for us…

Then we popped across to the Rose Garden in Stanley Park for family photos.  Here’s the whole gang.
The guests then went back to the Hotel while we wandered around the Park, stopping at various points along the way.  Here are a few of my favs…..
I could have photographed these two all day!
Congratulations Trent and Brent and best wishes for your future together.

Deirdre & Ann – May 30,09

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009
Deirdre & Ann were married at Barclay Manor in the Westend. The Heritage House also has a great Park and garden next to it.
Here’s a shot of the house itself….

I started the day at with Ann as she finished getting ready while Susannah met Deirdre at Barclay Manor.  Deirdre and Ann both arrived by limousine and saw each other for the first time at Barclay Manor as friends and family also arrived.  I loved the looks that passed between them…..
This is just before they entered together for the ceremony…..

They wrote the ceremony themselves and it was a great expression of love, commitment and understanding of one another….

Then it was photo time in the park….

And down at the beach….

….before we headed off to the Allan Emmott Centre in Burnaby.  Here’s Deirdre and Ann during their first dance….

And the father/daughter dance….

Deirdre and Ann, it was our pleasure to have met you and to have worked with you on this day.  All the best!

Blue and orange is one of my favourite colour combinations – it just pops!

I love the colour and texture of late Summer grass!

Pam & Cheryl

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

Last weekend I did a combo family portrait/couple portrait shoot with Pam & Cheryl and Pam’s family. I really enjoyed their family interaction – there’s a lot of love and laughter there.

Here are a few shots from the day.

We did most of the session in the family garden which has some amazing plants and then Pam, Cheryl and I went to Pam’s old elementary school for a few more shots.

This is one of my favourites from the day as Pam tells the story of how she met Cheryl.

Cool rings!

I think Pam & Cheryl look really great together.

Unfortunately I couldn’t stay for brunch, but I hear Pam’s Mum cooks up a storm!

Kristy & Christy – Auckland, NZ

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

This is a new feature I’m gonna add to the blog to enable people to see some of the things we’ve been up to. I had a little trouble getting the show up and running but with the help of DJ who is one of my favourite photographers and a REALLY helpful and open guy (thanks David!!!!!), we’re off!

This show is a wedding I shot while back in New Zealand on holiday in February/March 2007. Christy and Kristy are Australians who eloped to NZ. They had a small intimate ceremony on Cheltenham Beach in Auckland and then we went atop of North Head to get some shots of the Auckland skyline.

Auckland is my hometown and I love the scenery here so much that I wanted to share it with you all.

Congrats girls – it was my pleasure to have met you!
