I met Kim and Oren at the end of January when they came in for a maternity shoot. Little Evan arrived a bit early and so they were able to bring him in for his baby shoot at just 11 days old.

Here are a few favs.

What a sweetie!

Evan’s Grandmother crocheted the little toque and matching diaper cover – how cute is that!

I think the expression on Oren’s face here is priceless.

Guess what was happening in Vancouver when Evan was born? Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Awesome.

Welcome to the world little Evan.

Olympic Fever Downtown

So I’m a bit late in posting these, but here are some photos Susannah and I took of the Vancouver Downtown area during the Olympics. The first few were taken early on, as we explored the between Russia House and David Lam Park before heading into Festive Yaletown.

These next shots were as we wandered the other end of Downtown Vancouver, along Waterfront to view the Olympic Flame. Obviously we weren’t alone with that idea…..it was packed!

Here are a couple of different shots of the Olympic Flame – this was before the fence was moved.

This last set is of the lights and decorations on Robson St and Granville St, which came alive during the Olympics and was packed with foot traffic as people celebrated together. It was so cool to see throngs of happy people out and about, no matter what the weather!

It was so awesome to see and feel the Olympic spirit!

Next for us is the Paralympics which start on Friday March 12 and which we will actually be shooting part of. Can’t wait!

Olympic Torch Relay

The Olympic Torch relay passed right by the studio today! We had the TV on and they were talking about the final route Downtown and we realised it would pass literally right outside our building on East 2nd. Of course we went out to get some shots.

I ran with my camera, following the action for the next 300m and managed to catch the next pass over to runner #118, Luis Passaglia, BC Lions Alumni….

It was totally awesome to watch even just a little part of the relay. Now I gotta go – time to watch the opening ceremony!

I met Sarah when she was in Jasmine’s bridal party in November 2008. It was great to meet her again when she came in for her maternity shoot on Wednesday. Her baby is due on Monday! Here are a few shots from the session.

Just a quick update – I got an email from Sarah saying her baby was born less than 24 hours after the shoot! WOW! Congrats Sarah and welcome Lyla!

Boudoir – SL

SL was visiting Vancouver from Calgary and came in for her boudoir shoot. It was so fun and SL is such a lovely person – I’m pretty sure we will work together again some time. Here are a few shots from the session.

KH came in for a boudoir shoot with some fine pairs of platform boots. Her style is very cool and reminded me a lot of Japan.

EL came in for a boudoir shoot yesterday afternoon. She is from out of town and hadn’t planned on doing this so had to borrow some boots from her room mate. No problem though – she looked fabulous! That’s one of the great things about boudoir – less is often more!
